The NBC News Special "Brian Williams Reporting: Journey to Normandy" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranked #1 in The Hour in total viewers among the Big 4, while finishing #2 among those nets in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. "Brian Williams Reporting: Journey to Normandy" grew or held steady from half-hour to half-hour in every key ratings measure, with growth of +11% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.9), +8% in adults 25-54 (1.3 vs. 1.2) and +20% in men 25-54 (1.2 vs. 1.0).
· "Dateline NBC" (1.3/5 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in
The Hour among ABC, CBS,
NBC and
FOX in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 outright among those nets in total viewers. "Dateline" also led the time period among the Big 4 in men 18-49 with a 1.1 rating, the highest result in that demo among those nets for the night.
· "Dateline NBC" equaled its highest adult 18-49 rating since March 28.
· "Crossbones" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) retained a strong 90% of last week's premiere rating in 18-49 (0.9 vs. 1.0), which was NBC's highest result in the slot in three months (since Feb. 28). "Crossbones" finished #2 in the time period among ABC,
CBS and
NBC in adults 18-49 and most other key demos and tied for #1 among those nets in men 18-49 (with a 0.9 rating).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
