"Boxeo Telemundo Ford" finishes its 2014 summer season Friday night with a classic rivalry match between Mexico and Puerto Rico at Mexico City's Salón José Cuervo. The stellar 10-round main event will pit Édgar "Nene" Ortega versus Daniel Rosario for the WBO Latino Welterweight title. As always, René Giraldo and Jessi Losada will be on hand to provide the blow-by-blow and commentary.

Boxing aficionados can follow every moment of the fight in detail at the Deportes Telemundo Twitter account, @TelemundoSports.

A native of Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico, Ortega (14-1, 10 KO) is unbeaten in his last nine fights, winning six of those by knockout. He has quickly become a fighter to watch in Mexico, and in the very competitive 147-pound division. Ortega has fought three times this year, beginning in January with a fifth-round KO over Arturo Gómez, and followed that with a six-round decision win against Adrián "Mágico" Briones in February. His last fight was on April 12, which was a 10 round decision victory against Jonathan "Bebé" Durán.

Rosario (8-0, 7 KO), from Caguas, Puerto Rico, travels into enemy territory, but with the confidence that he won't leave his luck in the hands of the judges. Of his last five fights, none have gone past the third round, and of his seven knockout wins, four have come in the opening round. He's hoping to add another highlight reel knockout to his resume Friday night.

"Boxeo Telemundo Ford" continues to make history, reaching 640,000 viewers with its July 18 broadcast of the match between Jonathan "Pitbull" Vidal and Juan "Loquito" Kantún. It was the most viewed boxing program the week of July 14 and is the first show of its type to broadcast uninterrupted for 25 years on US Spanish-language television.
