The 16th Costume Designers Guild Awards, which celebrate excellence in film, television and commercial costume design, were held last night, Saturday, Feb.22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The CDG Awards ceremony, one of the most prestigious and well-respected entertainment industry awards season events, celebrates the spirit of collaboration between Costume Designers and Actors and Directors.
The winners included Woody Allen's BLUE JASMINE and 12 YEARS A SLAVE, which took the top honors, as well as Netflix's HOUSE OF CARDS and DOWNTON ABBEY.
Acclaimed writer, producer and director, Judd Apatow also received the Distinguished Collaborator Award in recognition of his support of Costume Design and creative partnerships with Costume Designers. An Honorary Career Achievement Award was also presented to Costume Designer April Ferry for her work in film and television.
