BIG BANG THEORY and TWO AND A HALF MEN Boost CBS In Thursday Night Ratings

Last night's broadcasts of THE BIG BANG THEORY, TWO AND A HALF MEN, PERSON OF INTEREST and ELEMENTARY lifted CBS to year-to-year Thursday growth in viewers and key demographics, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Dec. 6.

For the night, CBS was first in households (8.3/13), viewers (13.27m), adults 25-54 (4.5/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09). Compared to the same night last year, CBS was up +5% in households, +7% in adults 25-54 and +3% in adults 18-49.

THE BIG BANG THEORY swept its time period, finishing first in households (10.3/17), viewers (16.95m), adults 25-54 (6.9/19), adults 18-49 (5.2/16) and adults 18-34 (3.4/12). Compared to the same night last year, THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +21% in households, +17% in adults 25-54, +13% in adults 18-49 and +10% in adults 18-34. THE BIG BANG THEORY was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (8.4/13), viewers (13.50m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13), adults 18-49 (4.0/11) and tied for first in adults 18-34 (2.5/08, with FOX). Compared to the same night last year (RULES OF ENGAGEMENT), TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +38% in households, +26% in adults 25-54, +33% in adults 18-49 and +79% in adults 18-34.

PERSON OF INTEREST was first in households (8.7/13), viewers (14.18m) and adults 25-54 (4.2/10) and was second in adults 18-49 (2.9/08). Compared to last year, PERSON OF INTEREST was up +10% in households, +8% in adults 25-54 and +4% in adults 18-49.

ELEMENTARY was first in households (6.7/11), viewers (10.31m) and adults 25-54 (3.0/07) and was second in adults 18-49 (2.1/06).

Season-to-date, CBS's Thursday lineup is up +14% in both viewers and adults 25-54 and +16% in adults 18-49 compared to last season.
