NBC News reports that an autopsy done on late actor Paul Walker has revealed that he died of 'traumatic and thermal injuries.' The "Fast and Furious" star along with his friend Roger Rodas died as a result of injuries sustained when the Porsche they were driving crashed "with a fixed object" on Saturday, the Los Angeles Coroner's office ruled today. Walker, 40, died from the "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries" and Rodas, 38, died from "multiple traumatic injuries."
According to reports, speed appeared to be a major factor in the collision. Their car "was doing well over 45 mph," according Los Angeles County Sheriff's detective Jeff Maag.
The actor's representatives confirmed the news of the his death on his official Facebook page over the weekind posting, "It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences."
