Scottish recording artist Emeli Sandé makes her highly anticipated Austin City Limits (ACL) debut on Sunday, July 7th, and ACL announces the taping will be live streamed worldwide at 8pm Central Time. Fans can log on to ACL's Youtube Channel to watch live video of Sandé's entire ACL taping from The Moody Theater in downtown Austin. The broadcast episode will air as part of ACL's upcoming Season 39, which premieres in October on PBS.
The Scottish songstress has achieved breakthrough success in her native UK and stateside with her striking debut,
Our Version of Events. It was the biggest-selling album in 2012 in the UK, where it recently toppled The Beatles' long-standing chart record for the debut album with the most consecutive weeks spent in the top 10, logging an astounding 66 weeks. Sandé emerged as the big winner at this year's 2013 Brit Awards, winning a pair of awards, including the coveted Album of the Year prize.
Her international hit "Next To Me" is certified Platinum in the U.S. and the accompanying video has more than 35 million views. Sandé has also written songs for numerous other artists, including Alicia Keys and Rihanna. She makes her debut on the ACL stage before hitting the festival circuit this summer with several high-profile slots at Lollapalooza, Jay Z's Made in America, Essence and Outside Lands Festival.
