TVLine.com reports that Ashley Williams will reprise her role of 'Victoria' on the CBS comedy HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. The actress will appear in the Season 8 premiere and will have a multi-episode story arc throughout the season.
At the conclusion of Season 7, Josh Radnor's 'Ted' and Williams' 'Victoria' admitted to each other that there were romantic feelings between them, despite the fact that Victoria was just about to get hitched to another man. While Ted attempted to do the right thing and fight off his true feelings, memories of their romance caused him to divert the bride from making the trip down the aisle.
In the Season 8 premiere, Ted will find out that Victoria did not let her fiance know she was jilting him, and the couple will turn around and head back to the church. Said the show's executive producer Craig Thomas, “The episode shows all of the ramifications of that decision.”
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER returns on September 24 to CBS.
Williams had a role in the television series Good Morning, Miami and has appeared in episodes of Psych, E-Ring, Huff, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Side Order of Life, The Mentalist and Warehouse 13. In May 2003, she had a guest starring role on American Dreams, playing singer Sandie Shaw and performing Shaw's 1964 hit "(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me" on American Bandstand.
