Deadline reports exclusively that Annette Bening is set to star in a new comedy series for the HBO network. The single-camera project, titled THE THIRD COAST, will be helmed by Jay Roach.
According to the report, the series will follow a "larger than life casting director (Bening) in New Mexico." Paul Rudnick will pen the project and executive produce along with Roach and John Lyons.
The comedy marks a return for Bening to the cable network where she starred in 2005's Mrs. Harris, for which she received an Emmy nomination for the performance.
Bening is a four-time Oscar nominee for her roles in The Grifters,American Beauty, Being Julia, and The Kids Are All Right, winning Golden Globe Awards for the latter two films.
