GLEE creator Ryan Murphy confirmed at the Golden Globe Awards that Anne Hathaway would make a guest appearance on the FOX musical show in a role she helped create as Kurt's lesbian aunt. He said at the time: "We just finalized a deal with Anne tonight to come onto the show. She's already created [her role]...She wants to play the lesbian aunt of Chris Colfer. Because everyone needs a lesbian aunt."

However, Hathaway's GLEE debut may have to wait until next season. According to Digital Spy, executive producer Brad Falchuk says now that "She's got a pretty tight schedule too. So we don't know if it's going to happen this season."

In addition to hosting this year's Oscars, Anne Hathaway's film credits include 'The Princess Diaries,' 'Brokeback Mountain,' 'The Devil Wears Prada,' 'Becoming Jane,' 'Alice in Wonderland,' and 'Rachel Getting Married,' for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. Hathaway played Viola in Shakespeare in the Park's 2009 production of TWELFTH NIGHT. She also appeared as Lili in CARNIVAL! at Encores.

GLEE is a smash hit musical comedy that has quickly become a pop-culture phenomenon. The highest-rated new scripted series of the season boasts critical acclaim, a loyal fan base of "GLEEks," two certified Gold albums, more than 14 million song downloads and an incredible 19 Emmy nominations. To top it off, the genre-defying, award-winning series has already been picked up through its third season.
