Variety reports that Anne Hathaway will star in the upcoming indie film SONG ONE, marking a reunion for the actress with 'Rachel Getting Married' producers Marc Platt and Jonathan Demme. The script for the project was penned by Kate Barker-Froyland, who served as a production assistant on Hathaway's 'The Devil Wears Prada.' Froyland will also make her directorial debut on the film.

SONG ONE will center on Hathaway's character, described as "a young woman who returns home after her brother is injured, only to meet and romantically connect with his favorite musician, who draws inspiration from the siblings."

Hathaway recently starred in "Love and Other Drugs" and "One Day," which were adapted for the big screen from popular novels. The actress will soon be seen in the action adventure, "The Dark Knight Rises" and the highly anticipated film version of Broadway's "Les Miserables."
