Fox has handed out a script and presentation commitment to the animated comedy Lyle & Caroline, featuring Lisa Kudrow, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lyle & Caroline is described as a family-driven comedy focusing on the friendship of its two titular characters, who form a surrogate grandparent/grandchild bond in an unexpected way.
The script will be written by brothers Eric and Justin Stangel and they will executive produce alongside Kudrow. She will also voice Caroline, the high school-aged grandchild as well as doing overall voiceover for the show. The project hails from Lionsgate and 3 Arts Entertainment. 3 Arts' David Miner will also executive produce.
Lyle & Caroline is the latest animated effort in the works at Fox, which has already has handed out two series orders for the animated comedies Duncanville and Bless This Mess.
