A precious sanctuary in the midst of the Pacific, Hawaii, is home to a wealth of exotic wildlife. Tonight, November 13, at 9PM (et/pt), Animal Planet presents WILD HAWAII, exposing Hawaii's wildlife in a way that has never been viewed before. Witness the unique marine life at the depths of the Pacific Ocean, and journey to shores of the archipelago in this one-hour documentary, which reveals a new facet of this tropical location.

WILD HAWAII captures stunning views of the most isolated islands on the planet that have spawned the evolution of some of the most unique animals in the world. More than just a vacation destination known for its incomparable beaches, volcanoes and rainforests, Hawaii's picturesque scenery is refuge to some of the most diverse wildlife in the world. WILD HAWAII goes beyond the typical travel brochures and unveils how Hawaii's indigenous animals rely on each other for survival. The special ventures into the night like never before, paying homage to the rare and eloquent display of marine life, which bursts alive once the sun goes down.

Hawaii is home to endangered, solitary monk seals, located in the most northern, remote islands, and spinner dolphins, known for its acrobatic behavior and proximity to the shore. Other inhabitants include albatross, which flock to nearby atolls; shore-dwelling black-tip reef sharks; hammerhead sharks, which use lagoons as nurseries; daytime-socializing, short-fin pilot whales, which hunt 2,000 feet below the water's surface; red-tail tropicbirds, which nest in large groups; and a whopping 500 different types of fruit flies.

Hawaii is the nation's - perhaps the world's - paradise. It's utopia for both people and its unique indigenous wildlife. WILD HAWAII is pure appreciation of the life that lives within and among these pristine islands of the Pacific.

WILD HAWAII is produced for Animal Planet by Parthenon Entertainment. Mick Kaczorowski is the executive producer for Animal Planet. Steve Nicholls and Carl Hall are executive producers and Danny Tipping is director of production for Parthenon Entertainment.
