Animal Planet has greenlit a sophomore season of ROCKY MOUNTAIN BOUNTY HUNTERS, looking to Capture more stories about two teams of elite fugitive bounty hunters. The first season of six episodes debuted on Animal Planet in April averaging 766,000 viewers per premiere episode. The second season, produced by ITV Studios America, will premiere in 2015 with 10 brand-new episodes, with filming to start in Montana and Idaho this fall.
The Rocky Mountains, scattered with more than 3,000 miles of dense forests and rocky peaks, create the perfect hideaway for fugitives on the run from the law, preferring the treacherous terrain to life behind bars. In Animal Planet's ROCKY MOUNTAIN BOUNTY HUNTERS, the series follows professional bounty hunter pairs Clint and Dayson in Colorado, and Rob and "Animal" in Montana as they patrol the harsh conditions surrounding the scenic yet deadly landscape of the Rockies. Tracking, chasing and capturing might be easy on the concrete streets of a modern metropolis, but when fugitives disappear into the immense wilderness inhabited by predators like black bears and mountain lions, it takes a special type of hunter to bring these outlaws to justice.
Throughout the series, the region's most-wanted offenders, with a history of charges ranging from gun running to drug trafficking, attempt to evade the expert trackers who are always on the hunt. Each case is unique, but if you run, these wilderness fugitive retrieval agents won't stop until they catch you.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN Bounty Hunters is produced by ITV Studios America for Animal Planet. Jerry Decker and Rob Shaftel are the executive producers for ITV Studios America. For Animal Planet, Lisa Lucas is the executive producer and Patrick Keegan is the producer. Animal Kurt Tondorf is the development executive for Animal Planet.
