La Víe Theaters announced today that Antonio Saillant, owner of Planet Greenfest and Angel Light Pictures Entertainment Group, partnered with La Vie Theaters Rising Star Film Festival taking place at Angelika theater and the White Rock Lake for indoor screenings and nightly outdoor screenings under the stars. The event runs March 13-19th 2016 with awards ceremony on the 19th located in Omni Dallas.
The festival Executive Produced by Shandell King, [La Vie Theaters]. La Vie Theaters Rising Star Film Festival is a HIGH SCHOOL film festival for those in Dallas Fort Worth Texas which covers well over nine major cities with the Dallas Fort Worth metro plex.
Shandell focuses her energy in developing inspirational pieces and providing aspiring filmmakers and actors with the necessary exposure and tools to transform their inspirational pieces into great works of art. Shandell together with Antonio, acting as a consulting producer, have been working on the Economic Development and helping in bringing back filmmaking to Dallas, Texas.
Antonio is best known for being a leading voice for energy policy to protect the quality of life. He is truly dedicated to tackle our region's energy challenges and harness the economic opportunities presented by clean renewable energy. Antonio feels that his responsibility as a filmmaker is to continue the commitment to reduce the impact on climate change and the environment, and to be on the forefront of sustainable business practices. He serves on the Advisory Board for the Green Festivals and heads the Film ant Television Industry division.
Antonio worked on high level filmmaker's projects, learning the nuts and bolts of production. He spent several years shadowing his dear friend and mentor, Canadian Director, TED Kotcheff, whose film credits include: "First Blood", "Wake in Fright", "Uncommon Valor", "Fun with Dick and Jane", "Weekend at Bernie's", "First Blood", "North Dallas Forty", "The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz" and former Executive Producer of NBC's Law & Order: SVU, had worked together on the set of L&O SVU and this experience gave Saillant the inspiration to work as an independent filmmaker along side of directors Sidney Pollack, David Platt, and Peter Leto, which allowed Antonio in creating highly visual and meaningful cinema.
Prior to starting his own company, Angel Light Pictures Entertainment Group, He was an Energy Consultant to corporate giants such as Con Edison and pharmaceutical companies for many years, which helped Antonio in expanding its range of services to include environmental consulting with leading American and international corporations in Green Productions. Angel Light Pictures, continues his vision and passion for creating energy efficiency in movies and television. The motion picture industry is a large user of electricity for it's sound stage shooting and diesel fuel for its location filming [that it is a clear target for energy conservation].
RSfilmfest embarks on a wild adventure, creating the premier destination for talented HIGH SCHOOL filmmakers in both private and public schools in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. They offer a grand stage for HIGH SCHOOL film students to showcase their talents.
There will be screenings of amazing HIGH SCHOOL filmmaker creations at indoor and outdoor theaters, panels with top industry professionals, Press Brunch where the winners will be interviewed by the media, higher education opportunities, and an elaborate award ceremony recognizing the nominees as well as awarding only the top winners with thousands in scholarships and technology prizes.
