Andrew Garfield is going from Spider-Man to embezzler for his next film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Garfield has signed on for Ramin Bahrani's upcoming housing crisis drama 99 HOMES. Bahrani is best known for helming MAN PUSH CART. Treehouse Pictures will produce.
Garfield will play a man whose home is foreclosed upon, who "eventually finds work with the real estate broker who took his house and soon is not only evicting homeowners but helping the man embezzle money from the government. While his financial worries disappear, his conscience begins to break him down."

Andrew Garfield received BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations for his breakout performance as Eduardo Saverin in The Social Network. His other film credits include Lions for Lambs, The Other Boleyn Girl, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and Never Let Me Go. TV credits include "Doctor Who," "Freezing," "Bash," "Red Riding". Garfield has appeared on stage in England with the Royal National Theatre, Soho Theatre Company and Manchester Royal Exchange. In 2012 he erned a Tony nomination for his performance in DEATH OF A SALESMAN.
