According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Amy Adams will be starring in an upcoming film adaptation of Steve Martin's best-selling novel OBJECT OF BEAUTY. Adams will produce the film along with Maven Picture's Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray.

The film will center on "an art entrepreneur over 15 years of her life, as she acquires her own gallery, travels the world and tangles romantically with a series of men, including one who becomes a famous artist."

Commented Styler and Rattray, "We couldn't be happier to be working with the brilliant Amy Adams on this adaptation of Steve Martin's smart novel. This project continues on Maven's mission of making films that highlight strong female characters and talent."

Adams was most recently seen on the big screen in 'The Muppets' and 'The Fighter'. Her upcoming films include 'Man of Steel', 'The Master' and 'On the Road'.
