Amy Adams in Talks for Denis Villenuve's STORY OF YOUR LIFE

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amy Adams is in talks with director Denis Villeneuve to star in STORY OF YOUR LIFE, based on a short story by award-winning author Ted Chiang. The story has been adapted for the screen by Eric Heisserer.

Adams would be playing the role of an expert linguist. In the world of STORY OF YOUR LIFE, aliens have surrounded planet Earth, and it's up to Adams' character to determine whether or not they come in peace. She works to discover a means of communication but begins to experience flashbacks that cause her to question what is really going on.

Production is being planned for next year.

Adams will next be seen in Zack Snyder's Batman vs. Superman movie, as well as Big Eyes and Lullaby. She most recently appeared in American Hustle and Her, both for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. Her past credits include Man of Steel, The Master, The Muppets, Julie & Julia, Doubt, Enchanted and more.
