Too much fun in the sun? Fear not - AMERICAN HEROES CHANNEL (AHC) is here to whip your summer beach brain back into shape with a full day of the network's signature high-quality historical programming. This Labor Day, AHC will air SCHOOL YOURSELF, a day-long marathon of the hit series AMERICA: FACTS VS. FICTION on Monday, September 5 beginning at 9 AM/8 AM central - concluding with the premiere of an all-new episode at 10 PM/9 PM central. SCHOOL YOURSELF also marks the beginning of a new partnership between AHC and Barnes & Noble to launch a curated collection of books that will be available exclusively on BN.com starting on Saturday, September 3.

The AHC Collection will provide audiences with even more of the historical topics and stories of heroism they love, across multiple platforms. The selection of books will feature topics - from the Civil War, to the upcoming 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor - tied to major programming launches and commemorative stunts airing on AHC. The AHC Collection provides viewers a deeper dive into the topics they enjoy watching with new and bestselling releases spanning World Wars I and II, world history, as well as ancient history. AHC viewers will also enjoy books from the channel's many experts and contributors, including Paul Andrew Hutton (The Apache Wars: THE HUNT for Geronimo, the Apache Kid and the Captive Boy Who Started the Longest War in American History), Alexandra Robbins (Secrets of the Tomb: Skull and Bones) and Eleanor Herman (Empire of Dust), with others to be featured tied to future programming. The initial phase of this partnership will run into the first quarter of 2017, and with both beloved and new titles, available in print and digitally on NOOK(R). On-air, SCHOOL YOURSELF's Labor Day marathon of AMERICA: FACTS VS FICTION is the perfect antidote to those end-of-summer blues - and will help even the biggest beach bum get into the back-to-school mindset. Believe it or not, history as we know it is full of holes or half-truths - and AMERICA: FACTS VS. FICTION has a mission to set the record straight. Hosted by former Naval officer and actor Jamie Kaler, this series is a wake-up call about the surprising hidden facts behind the most familiar and beloved stories from our nation's and military's past, exploring why we sometimes get our own history slightly, well, wrong.

SCHOOL YOURSELF wraps up at 10/9c with an all-new episode of AMERICA: FACTS VS. FICTION, "All American Landmarks." Kaler crisscrosses the country to explore widely-held theories - and straight up myths - surrounding the United States' most fascinating attractions. Alcatraz is known as the harshest of all American prisons. So why did so many inmates ask to be transferred there? The Golden Gate Bridge is renowned for its beauty - but you'll learn why thousands of San Franciscans were dead set against it. We all assume that dozens of workmen were killed building the EMPIRE State Building - but the real statistic will shock you. And we think of Grand Central Station as a treasured New York icon - so why was it almost torn down?

For up-to-date SCHOOL YOURSELF coverage, AHC will be live on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #SchoolYourself.
