Amber Heard Joins Cast Of Romantic Thriller RUN AWAY WITH ME

Sentinel Pictures and XYZ Films announced today that Amber Heard has been cast as the lead in the romantic thriller RUN AWAY WITH ME, directed by Fred Grivois. Based on an original screenplay by Matthew Ian Cirulnick and produced by Adam Brawer and David Beitchman of Sentinel Pictures, the film will be executive produced by Nate Bolotin and Aram Tertzakian of XYZ with Raphaël Rocher of Empreinte Cinema also serving as an executive producer. RUN AWAY WITH ME is scheduled for production later this year with XYZ handling worldwide sales at the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin. Sentinel Pictures acquired this as an original pitch by Cirulnick and they developed it together.

RUN AWAY WITH ME is centered on Tom and Kimberly (Heard), two star-crossed lovers escaping the dark criminal underbelly of the European modeling industry. Tom, an American visiting Paris for his best friend's bachelor party, falls for the beautiful, mysterious Kimberly. When Tom learns a surprising truth about her, his trip takes a lethal turn; the two embark on a riveting journey through Paris streets to start a new life together.

Heard recently appeared in DC Comic's JUSTICE LEAGUE and will next star in AQUAMAN opposite Jason Momoa in December 2018. Her recent films include Tom Hooper's THE DANISH GIRL opposite Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander, Pamela Romaowsky's ADDERRALL DIARIES opposite James Franco and Ed Harris and MAGIC MIKE XXL opposite Channing Tatum.

Grivois is Jacques Audiard's longtime collaborator, having directed the dream sequences in A PROPHET and the opening and title sequence of RUST AND BONE. His first feature THROUGH THE AIR, released by Gaumont, is an elegant and visceral crime film that follows an Olympic level marksman (Reda Kateb) who gets into personal financial trouble, is targeted by the mob and forced to become a sniper for them to repay debts. Grivois recently completed production on his second feature 15 MINUTES OF WAR, a character driven action film centered on a true-life French commando rescue operation starring international cast Olga Kurylenko, Alban Lenoir and Kevin Layne (Star Wars 8).

"Run Away with Me" is in the great tradition of movies such as Frantic and True Romance or more recently Taken, which is why it caught my attention in the first place. It is an "Action-romance" story set in my hometown, Paris. A city famous for its beauty, that also hides a darker side. Run Away with Me is simple and realistic, raw and violent. It is about real people facing exceptional but true problems, and solving them the way any of us would... Or the way we wished we would," said Grivois.
