Amazon.com is following through with previous announcement of ordering and producing original programming - the multi-faceted online marketplace is reportedly finalizing a deal to greenlight a pilot for BROWSERS, a comedy from David Javerbaum and 3 Arts Entertainment.
The series would follow a group of interns website publication. Javerbaum is set to executive produce, and is hoping to begin filming this January.
Amazon studios first announced it would be potentially developing comedy and children's programming last May.
If BROWSERS comes to fruition, it would mark Amazon Studios' eighth online project, following the likes of Hulu and Netflix. It's current lineup includes THOSE WHO CAN'T, THE FACE AND THE HEEL, MAGIC MONKEY BILLIONAIRE, and more.
