Amazon Prime Video to Present 24-Hour Sneak Preview of HANNA After the Super Bowl Image

Amazon Prime Video will present a special 24-hour sneak preview of the premiere episode of its thrilling new Prime Original Series Hanna, to be made available for all Amazon Prime customers during the SUPER BOWL on Sunday, February 3. To promote this new series coming to Prime Video in March and to announce the sneak preview of the first episode, Prime Video will air a 60-second commercial during the 3rd quarter of Sunday's Rams-Patriots championship game.

Raised in total seclusion in the remote woods of Eastern Europe, Hanna (Esme Creed-Miles) has spent her entire young life training to fight those who hunt her and her mercenary father, Erik Heller (Joel Kinnaman). Her survivalist skills are finally tested when she and Erik are separated upon their discovery by a rogue CIA operative, Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos) and her team of agents. Hanna has no choice but to embark on a perilous journey alone across Europe as she seeks to reunite with her father and evade - and ultimately take down - the dangerous agents who target them. Hanna's isolated upbringing offers particularly daunting physical and emotional challenges as she is forced to navigate an ever-deepening conspiracy - one that could be the undoing of both her and her father.

"Hanna is a tense, thrilling action-drama with an incredibly strong female hero at its center," said Mike Benson, Director of Marketing, Prime Video. "We're excited to give the global SUPER BOWL audience a preview of this captivating new series coming to Prime Video in March, and to also announce that all Prime customers can get an exclusive sneak-preview of the entire first episode of Hanna for 24 hours after our commercial airs in the game."

Sunday's commercial, entitled "Be The Girl No One Saw Coming," includes scenes of Hanna's intense training with her father deep in the wilderness, revealing her startling abilities, and features music performed by Karen O., produced by TRZTN, with an exclusive cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' 1995 rock classic "Bullet With Butterfly Wings." Karen O. also wrote and performed the previously released song "Anti-Lullaby" especially for the series.

Said Karen O.: "The creatives from Hanna reached out about collaborating on the series and were very passionate about their vision, I somehow was a part of it. After having an inspired meeting with David (Farr), I was excited to lend my voice to help tell this personal story of the extraordinary Hanna struggling with forces BEYOND her control - as if being a teenage girl wasn't hard enough. 'Anti-Lullaby' is a bittersweet tune, both cautionary and fortifying for a HUNTED character. The Smashing Pumpkins cover 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings' has the grit of the misunderstood young woman, and the fury she is capable of unleashing. Felt like a balanced contribution between the two! BEYOND excited to see the series, I've seen a couple of early episodes and Esme is a powerhouse, very excited for her debut."

Based on the 2011 film, Hanna's eight-episode first season was written and produced by David Farr (The Night Manager), who co-wrote the original feature. Director Sarah Adina Smith (Legion, Room 104) helmed episodes one and two of the series, which filmed entirely on-location in Hungary, Slovakia, Morocco, Spain and the U.K.

In her breakout role for television, British actress Esme Creed-Miles stars as Hanna alongside Joel Kinnaman (Altered Carbon, Suicide Squad, Robocop) and Mireille Enos (The Catch, Prime Video's Good Omens), who reunite on-screen after co-starring in AMC's Emmy-nominated crime drama The Killing.

Prime members will be able to stream the series exclusively via the Amazon Prime Video app for TVs, connected devices including Fire TV, mobile devices and online.
