Seyfried's character uses social media to research her friends' dates and criticize their choices. But when she finds the "perfect man", she uses her online skills to make herself into his match.
Fox was originally considering the movie, with its sights set on Emma Stone in 2000, but the deal fell through. Now, Universal is tackling the project.
