Allison Williams Joins the Cast of Netflix's A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS  Image

According to Variety, Allison Williams has been cast in "A Series of Unfortunate Events" at Netflix.

The exact details of her role are being kept under wraps, but it is known that she will appear in both Seasons 2 and 3, with Season 2 set to debut on March 30. She joins an ensemble cast that includes Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Presley Smith, Joan Cusack, Will Arnett, Cobie Smulders, Alfre Woodard, Catherine O'Hara, Nathan Fillion, Patrick Warburton, and many more, Variety reports.

Allison Williams is an actress best known for her role as Marnie Michaels on the HBO comedy-drama series Girls and her critically acclaimed performance in the 2017 horror film Get Out. After becoming viral on youtube, Williams convinced Judd Apatow that she should be given a part in the HBO series Girls. She was cast shortly after and credited her experience at Just Add Water for passing the audition. Girls premiered on April 15, 2012. Williams wrote a series of Funny or Die sketches, in which she starred as newlywed Kate Middleton, with English actor and model Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. Williams appeared as Danielle in an episode of the third season of The League titled "The Guest Bong." Williams has appeared as a recurring character, Cheryl, in the CollegeHumor series Jake and Amir.On December 4, 2014 she starred in the title role on NBC's live television presentation of the musical PETER PAN LIVE! Premiering in November 2016, Williams appeared in Past Forward, a short film collaboration between David O. Russell and Prada. In 2017, Williams starred in the hit horror film Get Out, directed by Jordan Peele, who became convinced she was right for the role of Rose after seeing her performance in Peter Pan Live!

Executive produced by Emmy Award-winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler - the new season of A Series of Unfortunate Events consists of ten cinematic one-hour episodes, and premieres worldwide spring 2018, exclusively on Netflix. Starring Emmy and Tony Award-winner Neil Patrick Harris, A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans - Violet, Klaus, and Sunny - and their extraordinary encounters with the devious Count Olaf who will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. Foiling his many dastardly plans and disguises, the young siblings discover clues to their parents' mysterious death, links to a covert organization, and begin to unlock long-held family secrets.
