Greta Gerwig and Alison Pill have been added to the cast of Woody Allen's latest film, "The Bop Decameron", which begins filming July 11 in Rome, according to Hollywoodreporter.com. The complete cast line-up, announced Monday, includes Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penelope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg and Ellen Page. Allen will also act in the film as well as write and direct. In co-starring parts, Allen has assembled Antonio Albanese, Fabio Armiliata, Alessandra Mastronardi, Ornella Muti, Flavio Parenti, Riccardo Scamarcio and Alessandro Tiberi.

A darling of the indie film scene, Gerwig has appeared in "Hannah Takes the Stairs" and "Greenberg", while Pill, who starred in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World", also had a role in Allen's current film "Midnight in Paris" as Zelda Fitzgerald. Allen hit gold with "Midnight in Paris", which has grossed nearly $22 million to date, becoming Allen's most successful film in years.

"The Bop Decameron" promises a modern-day riff on Giovanni Boccaccio's medieval tale "The Decameron", a collection of erotic love stories, which has inspired a number of films including 1962's "Boccaccio '70", on which both Federico Fellini and Vittorio De Sica collaborated. Allen's latest project will be a Gravier Productions film produced by Letty Aronson and Stephen Tenenbaum and will be financed by the Italian production and distribution company, Medusa Film.
