Alec Baldwin: ROCK OF AGES Film Was 'A Complete Disaster'

During a seminar on Tuesday, October 22nd at the American Magazine Media Conference in New York City, Alec Baldwin discussed his appearance in the 2012 big screen adaptation of Broadway's ROCK OF AGES and called it a "horrible movie".

"It was a complete disaster," said the 30 Rock star. "A week [into production] you go, 'Oh God, what have I done?' He went on to explain that he only agreed to appear in the project because he wanted to work with director Adam Shankman.

The often controversial actor went on to criticize the state of Hollywood films in general, maintaining, "Now people's own lives are more interesting than what's in the theatres... [Studios now] only want Spider-Man."

Baldwin, who last month picked up an Emmy Award for his lead role on NBC's 30 Rock. He is currently hosting the late-night talk show Up Late on MSNBC and recently starred on Broadway in the revival of 'Orphans'.

Blige and multiple Emmy-winner Bryan Cranston (TV's "Breaking Bad," "The Lincoln Lawyer"), with Oscar nominees Alec Baldwin ("The Cooler") and Tom Cruise ("Born on the Fourth of July").
