Alan Tudyk leads the cast of Resident Alien, SYFY's adaptation of the Dark Horse comic of the same name by co-creators Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse.
Resident Alien is a darkly comic fish-out-of-water story that follows an alien who crash-lands in a small Colorado town and takes on the identity of the local doctor. There, according to an announcement from SYFY, he "begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his secret mission on Earth - ultimately asking the question, 'Are human beings worth saving?'"
Tudyk, star of Firefly and Rogue One, will portray HARRY Vanderspeigle - or rather, as the alien who crashes to earth and takes over the body and identity of small-town Colorado doctor HARRY Vanderspeigle.
Joining Tudyk in the cast are Sara Tomko (Sneaky Pete), who's been cast as Asta Twelvetrees; Corey Reynolds (The Closer) as Sheriff Mike; Alice Wetterlund (Silicon Valley) as former Olympic snowboarder and current small-town bartender D'arcy; and Levi Fiehler (Mars) as twentysomething small-town mayor Ben Hawthorne.
