Adult Swim and Pizza Hut Ask Fans to Help Create Commercial

Knowing just how creative and opinionated Adult Swim fans are, Pizza Hut has partnered with the late-night television network to elicit fans' help in inspiring and selecting an upcoming commercial that will debut on Adult Swim this summer. Offering them a taste of the creative life, the "Fan-Made Contest" will ask fans to describe their very favorite moment involving pizza via video submission, and will then allow fans to view and vote on their favorite videos on www.adultswim.com/fanmade. Once the fans help to select their favorite moment, Adult Swim will then recreate the winning video in a custom commercial for Pizza Hut, and the winning fan will receive an all expense paid trip to watch it being filmed.

"Adult Swim fans are, without a doubt, some of the most fanatical, creative and outspoken fans in the industry," said John O'Hara, executive vice president and general sales manager of Adult Swim and sister network Cartoon Network Ad Sales and Marketing. "Programs like this give us a tremendous opportunity to engage them at a very high level, allowing them to interact with our partners in a way that can really achieve great results."

This multi-tiered program will be executed on-site, on-air and online. The first phase of Adult Swim and Pizza Hut's "Fan-Made Contest" will kick off on March 30 in Baton Rouge, La. at the first stop of

The Ragbag of Jollification tour. The 10-stop tour is an Adult Swim block party taking place at local venues located near college campuses and featuring a variety of unique carnival-themed games, live music and giveaways. At each stop, fans can check out the Pizza Hut-branded "Fan-Made Contest" tent where they can create and submit their very own video submissions for the contest, as well as pick up free giveaways.

Once the tour concludes, the Pizza Hut "Fan-Made Contest" moves on-air and online where, from May 2 through May 22, fans will be encouraged through Adult Swim on-air spots and online ads to visit www.adultswim.com/fanmade and upload their very own videos to a branded video gallery. All of the submissions will then be reviewed internally, and five finalists will be posted on the website starting May 31, where fans can view and vote on their favorite until June 12. The winning video, once determined, will be recreated by Adult Swim and the spot will appear on air as a Pizza Hut commercial.
