Adrian Grenier today announced WreckroomTX - three days of live music showcases he personally curated to take place next week in Austin, Texas during South By Southwest 2013. Wreckroom is a music space in Grenier's home in Brooklyn, NY created to give up and coming bands the opportunity to write, record, and perform in a creative environment.

The WreckroomTX showcases will take place on Monday, March 11th at The Bourbon Girl (presented by Montaj), Thursday, March 14th at The Dogwood Austin, and Friday, March 15th at The W Austin (presented by Oakley) and will feature a highly eclectic array of artists including The Skins, Skylar Grey, The Wheeler Brothers, Hands, Asher Roth, Caldwell (featuring Adrian Grenier) and more. See below for a complete lineup and stay tuned for set times.

"We're thrilled to be bringing The Wreckroom to Austin for the first time with three days of amazing live music," said Grenier. "The Wreckroom is all about bringing friends together to spotlight emerging talent we believe in and we're honored to have so many bands we love join us this year."

Actor/entrepreneur Adrian Grenier initially founded his home studio, The Wreckroom, in 2012 with the intention of creating a place for his friends to make music. In the time since, the space has evolved and become an incubator for fresh music talent. The Wreckroom has helped develop over 50 artists by providing free studio time, original video sessions, and a worldwide audience to enjoy the final product.

Grenier and his team (Damien Paris, Mike Frankel, and Brian Koerber) personally identify emerging music talent who push creative boundaries. These artists visit the Wreckroom for a full day session in which they professionally record an original song and accompanying live music video. The song is later made available on a "pay-what-you-want" basis via Bandcamp and the videos are made available for viewing via YouTube.

"The goal for Wreckroom is to share the music we make, put a face to the players, and provide an opportunity for fans to download our collaborations," said Grenier. A variety of live videos recorded at Wreckroom can be seen HERE.

ABOUT WRECKROOM
When actor/entrepreneur Adrian Grenier built a recording studio in his Brooklyn home's basement, his intentions were simple: create a space for friends to write, perform, and record music. However, the equipped studio (appropriately dubbed the WRECKROOM) has evolved, becoming a breeding ground for fresh talent -- a music incubator. Since its official launch in May, the Wreckroom has helped develop over fifty artists by providing free engineer time, recording equipment, video sessions, and a built in audience to see the final product.

The Wreckroom seeks to develop and promote artists who are pushing creative boundaries. Artists are vetted by Grenier and his team: Damien Paris, Mike Frankel, and Brian Koerber. Selected musicians join the team for a full day session, in which they professionally record an original song and film a live-style music video. The song is later made available on a pay-what-you-want basis on Bandcamp, while the edited videos are available on YouTube.
