Variety reports that ABC has ordered an additional two episodes for the hit comedies BLACK-ISH and AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE and the long-running drama series GREY'S ANATOMY. Each series will now air 24 episodes during the season.
'GREY'S, airing Thursday nights is currently in its 14th season and nearing its 300th episode. The series is ABC's highest rated scripted drama in the key 18-49 demo, averaging a 2.15 Nielsen live-plus-same-day rating - up 3.7% from its average last season - and an average of 7.99 million total viewers.On Tuesday nights, BLACK-ISH, now in its fourth season, averages a 1.25 demo rating and 4.31 million viewers. From creator Kenya Barris, the comedy has earned eight Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including two for outstanding comedy series.
Now in its sophomore season on Wednesday nights, AMERICAN HOUSWIFE is currently averaging a 1.41 demo rating and 5.2 million viewers.Videos
