Variety reports that Adam Driver has joined the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy THE F WORD from Michael Dowse. The actor joins previously announced cast members Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan. Elan Mastai penned the script for the indie film from No Trace Camping.
THE F WORD will follow Radcliffe's character as he attempts to be the "first male to have a successfully platonic relationship with a girl he likes (Kazan), only to find out she's already in a relationship." Driver will portray Radcliffe's best friend, described as his "brash, ethically dubious confidant, who helps him navigate his romantic dilemma." The film is based on the play "Toothpaste and Cigars" by T.J. Dawe and Michael Rinaldi. Production is set to begin August 15 in Toronto.
Driver has appeared on Broadway in Man and Boy and Mrs Warren's Profession. His other theater credits include Look Back In Anger, Slipping, Little Doc, The Forest, and The Retributionists. The actor may currently be seen on HBO's Girls.
