Actor Ian Buchanan Set to Appear in NBC's DAYS OF OUR LIVES

As first reported on TVGuide.com, Daytime Emmy Award winning actor Ian Buchanan is set to join the cast of NBC's daytime drama, DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

Buchanan is no stranger to the daytime soaps having starred in All My Children, The Bold and the Beautiful, Port Charles and General Hospital.  According to a representative from Days, the actor will play a character named Ian McAllister, who is an ultra successful businessman with a strong control over cosmetics giant Madison James, played by actress Sarah Brown. 

In 2001, Buchanan made an appearance on the NBC daytime series as a European royal family member who was attending the coronation of 'Princess Greta'.  

Buchanan's other TV acting credits include Twin Peaks, It's Garry Shandling's Show and the Cartoon Network series Justice League, where he lent his voice to the character of Superman's arch foe, Ultra-Humanite.

The actor was recently seen on stage in the Actors Company's producion of Joe Orton's 'Entertaining Mr. Sloane' in LA.

Buchanan is set to begin shooting the NBC soap on November 14th and his episodes are to begin airing on February 9, 2012.
