The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that actor Ed Harris will be honored with the 2,546th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. The star in the category of Motion Pictures will be dedicated in front of The Egyptian Theatre. "The multi-talented actor and director Ed Harris has fascinated us with his memorable roles on multiple platforms," said Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "His continued success and acclaim paved the way for him to be forever a shining star among stars on our world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame!"
Helping emcee and Hollywood Chamber President/CEO Leron Gubler to unveil the star will be actors Marcia Gay Harden and Andy Garcia.Ed Harris stars opposite Liam Neeson in "Run All Night," for director Jaume Collet-Serra, which will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures on March 13. He will also star with Ethan Hawke and Milla Jovovich in "Cymbeline," Michael Almereyda's modern film adaptation of Shakespeare's play.Harris recently completed filming on Dean Devlin's untitled feature directorial debut, alongsideAndy Garcia. Harris made his feature film directing debut on "Pollock," receiving an Academy Award® nomination as Best Actor for his performance in the title role. His co-star, Marcia Gay Harden, won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar® under his direction.
