Actor David S. Hogan has signed on to play the co-starring role of Mark Kerr-Pearce in the feature film The Rectory, based on the screenplay "Something Like a Phenomenon" by award-winning writer-director Jonathan Chance and will be produced by indie film force Calvin Vanderbeek. The film, set in 1937, follows paranormal investigator Harry Price as he leases the old Borley Rectory, England's most haunted house, and returns to face the spirits that lay dormant for decades.

"Mark Kerr-Pearce proved to be a valuable investigator at The Rectory; smart, dedicated and passionate about his work," said Chance. "It was clear my Producer sensed the look I was after to play Mark, then; seeing David's audition, it was like one of those eureka moments - I knew right then David was perfect for the role of Mark."

"I worked with David on All Things Hidden," said Vanderbeek, "it was a small role, but I could tell by his acting range that he could play Mark, he was obviously talented and could pull off this unique role."

David is an award winning actor raised in Seattle, Washington, where he currently resides with his wife actress Angela DiMarco. In 2000, he began pursing work as a stage actor and has performed in over 35 professional productions. He is an accomplished Shakespearean actor, playing roles like Puck, Caliban, and King Henry with the Seattle Shakespeare Company. He can currently be seen in roles on TV shows and movies including; 'Grimm,' 'All Things Hidden,' 'Shadowed.'

The Rectory will begin production in Los Angeles and England in autumn 2014.
