After 13 weeks of intense competition, Telemundo's mega-reality "Yo Soy el Artista" (I Am the Artist) named Aaron Emanuel as the winner of the weekly competition during its grand finale at Universal Orlando Resort. Finalists Cathia, César, Carlos and Jenilca, together with host Lucero, judges Luis Fonsi, Olga Tañón, Mario Quintero Lara, Stephanie Himonidis "La Chiquibaby" and Boris Izaguirre, as well as the instructors from the "Escuela de Artistas" (Artists' School) and the audience, celebrated the talented 26-year-old Puerto Rican's victory, who will receive a music contract with Universal Music, as well as $150,000 in cash and prizes, including a week-long stay at the new Cabana Bay Beach Resort and tickets to Orlando's Universal Park.
"I'm super excited and grateful with the wonderful audience, all my fans, Puerto Rico and all of Latin America, to whom I owe all a hug and a kiss," said Aaron after the show's conclusion.
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Aaron captivated
THE 100 influencers and celebrity judges from the very first phase of "Yo Soy el Artista" when he sang Sin Bandera's "Que Lloro." Once at the "Escuela de Artistas" - and in each of the Sunday galas - the psychology student demonstrated his talent and musical skills, as well as his humility and team spirit, winning Lucero and the judges' support, while conquering the audience's hearts and votes. During the grand finale, Aaron proved once again why he deserved to win the coveted title of "The Artist" with his performance of "Escondidos" together with his girlfriend Stefania, one of the contestants he met during the competition.
