ASBURY PARK MUSIC & FILM FESTIVAL: Entries Deadline Tomorrow 1/3

The deadline for independent filmmakers to submit a film for the Asbury Park Music & Film Festival (APMFF) is Wednesday, January 3 at 11:59 p.m for the festival which runs from 27 - 29 April, 2018 in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
Instructions and deadlines for submissions can be found on the Festival's website at apmff.com.
The APMFF has assembled an impressive panel of judges which includes some of the most powerful figures in the film and music industries today; Tom Bernard (Sony Pictures Classics), Adam Block (Legacy Recordings Sony Music Entertainment), Josh Braun (Submarine Entertainment), Vinnie Favale (CBS Late Night Programming), Shelli Sonstein (Q104.3 Host and iHeart Media Film Critic), Annie McDonough (Falco Ink), George McMorrow (Cinecall Productions), Joe Amodei (USA Home Entertainment) and Steve Gorelick (New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission).
This year's film submission awards include 45-minute meet & greets with Tom Bernard and Adam Block.
"Entering the fourth year of the Festival, we look forward to securing some of the most moving and ambitious submissions that are deserving of recognition," said Peter Hurley, Executive Director, Asbury Park Music & Film Festival. "Our lineup of judges are some of the most prominent and respected individuals in the entertainment industry."
FEATURE FILM Submission must be at least 60 MINUTES in length excluding credit sequence in order to be considered a feature film. Feature films may not exceed 120 minutes. The plot of all submissions must include a music component or theme.
"Sony Pictures Classics" SHORT FILM Submission must be at least 5 minutes in length excluding credit sequence in order to be considered a short film. Short films may not exceed 60 minutes. The plot of all submissions must include a music component or theme.
"Legacy Recordings" MUSIC DOCUMENTARY The Music Documentary category will include films that document musical talent including band documentaries, biopics, live concert documentaries, "storytellers" films and music industry movies, etc.Submission must be at least 10 minutes in length excluding credit sequence in order to be considered a music documentary. Music documentaries may not exceed 120 minutes. The plot of all submissions must include a music component or theme.
MUSIC VIDEO A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Music videos may not exceed 15 minutes in length.
ANIMATION An animation is a motion picture created by means of the rapid display of a sequence of static images that minimally differ from each other. The animated short category includes all stop-motion pictures, computer animated films, mechanical (puppetry, robotics), and others. Animations may not exceed 60 MINUTES in length.
ASPIRING FEMALE DIRECTOR Submission must be a short film or feature film. A minimum of 5 to 20 minutes in length excluding credit sequence in order to be considered. Film must be directed by a female. The plot of all submissions must include a music component or theme.
