ARROW's Bex Taylor-Klaus to Lead MTV's SCREAM; Amy Forsyth Departs

EW reports that MTV's SCREAM pilot is swapping Bex Taylor-Klaus (Arrow) for Amy Forsyth in the lead role of 'Audrey Jensen'. No news yet on why Forsyth is leaving the project. Aside from Arrow, Bex Taylor-Klaus has appeared in Longmire, House of Lies, The Killing and more.

Jamie Travis ("For A Good Time Call" and "Faking It") will direct MTV's pilot, also starring Willa Fitzgerald ("Alpha House," "Royal Pains"), John Karna ("Premature," "The Neighbors"), Carlson Young ("Key and Peele," "The Kroll Show") and Amadeus Serafini in key roles.

MTV announced a pilot order to a series adaptation of the hit horror film franchise with Dimension TV in May 2013. Jill Blotevogel ("Harper's Island," "Ravenswood") is the executive producer and will showrun. Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin ("Criminal Minds," "The Event," and "Revenge") wrote the original script. Under the Dimension TV production umbrella, Harvey and Bob Weinstein will executive produce. Additional Executive Producers are Wes Craven, Marianne Maddalena and Cathy Konrad.

SCREAM also just welcomed Bobby Campo, Connor Weil and Joel Gretsch to the cast. Scroll down to read their new character descriptions!

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:

Bobby Campo as SETH BRANSON - the hot English teacher at Lakewood High who has an easy charm and is clearly one of the "cool" teachers who can go with it if a lesson plan gets a little off-track.

Connor Weil as WILL BELMONT - an all-American high school basketball player who adores his girlfriend, Emma.

Joel Gretsch as SHERIFF CLARK HUDSON - a good guy and good Sheriff and father to Kieran.

Willa Fitzgerald as EMMA DUVAL - a classic beauty whose looks and popularity hide a natural shyness and intellectual nature. Her new life with the "in crowd" leaves her estranged her from childhood best friend Audrey.

Bex Taylor-Klaus as AUDREY JENSEN - the daughter of a Lutheran pastor, Audrey is an artsy loner who aspires to be a filmmaker.

John Karna as NOAH FOSTER - creative computer genius with a vast knowledge of pop culture and the tech world. Best friends with Audrey.

Carlson Young as BROOKE MADDOX - charismatic leader of the popular crew whose personality vacillates between bubbly sweetness and ferocious sex appeal.

Amadeus Serafini as KIERAN WILCOX - the mysterious new kid in town, Kieran's got a dark side and a tough exterior that hints at experience beyond his years.
