AMC kicks off 2011 with an impressive lineup of film favorites as well as full coverage of The Sundance Film Festival and Awards season buzz. The following is a closer look at AMC's programming slate for January and February:

JANUARY

"AMC's CRAZY ABOUT THE DUKE"

Saturday, January 8th beginning at 9:30am ET into early Sunday morning

"AMC's Crazy about The Duke" will feature back-to-back films starring screen legend John Wayne. The marathon begins with the 1969 classic, True Grit, whose remake is currently in theaters. Other John Wayne films will include Fort Apache (1948), The Comancheros (1961), The Undefeated (1969), Legend of the Lost (1957), True Grit (1969), El Dorado (1967) and The Comancheros (1961).

AMC Marathon of "The Walking Dead"

Tuesday, January 18th and Wednesday, January 19th beginning at 8pm ET

AMC will air the entire first season of the critically acclaimed show, "The Walking Dead" on Tuesday, January 18th and Wednesday, January 19th starting at 8pm ET.

"AMC PREMIERE MOVIE MONTH"

The following movies will make their AMC network debut during on Sundays during January:

Swordfish

Sunday, January 2nd at 8pm ET

On January 2nd, the AMC premiere of the 2001 action movie, Swordfish will air, starring Halle Berry, John Travolta and Hugh Jackman. The film is about a secretive renegade counter-terrorist who co-opts the world's greatest hacker to steal billions in US Government dirty money.

Exit Wounds

Sunday, January 9th at 8pm ET

On January 9th, the AMC premiere of the 2001 action thriller, Exit Wounds will air, starring Steven Seagal, about a tough cop in an inner-city precinct who discovers a web of dirty cops and corruption.

The Chronicles of Riddick

Sunday, January 16th at 8pm ET

Vin Diesel and Judi Dench star in the 2004 action adventure about the wanted criminal who arrives on a planet called Helion Prime, and finds himself up against an invading empire that plans to convert or kill all humans in the universe.

The Brave One **Featuring an Exclusive Interview with Jodie Foster**

Sunday, January 23rd at 8pm ET

Starring Jodie Foster and Terrence Howard, The Brave One is a drama about a woman who struggles to recover from a brutal attack by setting out on a mission for revenge.

Seraphim Falls

Sunday, January 30th at 8pm ET

The 2006 western drama, starring Liam Neeson, Pierce Brosnan and Anjelica Houston, follows a colonel who hunts down a man with whom he has a grudge after the Civil War.

"AMC CELEBRATES" 60th Anniversary of The Day the Earth Stood Still- Shown in HD for the First Time on Television

Friday, January 14th at 8pm ET

AMC is home to the television premiere of the fully restored HD version of the 1951 award-winning sci-fi thriller The Day the Earth Stood Still. The film, which will be shown with limited breaks, is about an alien that tells the people of Earth that they must live peacefully or be destroyed as a danger to other planets. Stars Michael Rennie, Patricia Neal and Hugh Marlowe, and is directed by Robert Wise.

FEBRUARY

"AMC CELEBRATES" 20TH Anniversary of Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)

Friday, February 4th at 8pm ET

With limited break, AMC celebrates the 20th anniversary of the award-winning thriller, directed by James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, about the cyborg who once tried to kill Sarah Connor and now protects her teenage son from an even more powerful and advanced Terminator.

"AMC CELEBRATES" 35th Anniversary of Taxi Driver (1976)

Sunday, February 20th at 8pm ET

AMC airs the Oscar nominated Taxi Driver, directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert DeNiro. The classic, which will be shown with limited break, is about a mentally unstable Vietnam War veteran who works as nighttime taxi driver in a city that feeds his urge to violently lash out, attempting to save a teenage prostitute in the process.

"AMC CAN'T GET ENOUGH" SPECIALS:

Rocky I-V

AMC airs Rocky I - V from Monday, February 7th through Friday, February 11th. Beginning with Rocky I on Monday, each of the five nights will showcase two back-to-back airings starting at 8pm ET.

The Godfather and The Godfather Part II

As the exclusive home to The Godfather trilogy, AMC airs The Godfather on Saturday, February 12th, beginning at 4pm ET, three consecutive times and The Godfather II on Sunday February 13th, beginning at 3:30pm ET three consecutive times.

The Shawshank Redemption

AMC airs a marathon of the award-winning film, directed by Frank Darabont, from Monday, February 14th through Thursday, February 17th at 8pm ET.

COUNTDOWN TO THE RED CARPET

Monday, February 21st through Sunday, February 27th

"AMC's CRAZY ABOUT THE MAN WITH NO NAME"

Saturday, February 19th beginning at 5:30pm ET

"AMC Crazy About The Man with No Name" will celebrate Academy Award-winner Clint Eastwood, in one of his greatest roles, in back-to-back airings of A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965), and The Good, the Bad and The Ugly (1966).
