ALIENIST Star Douglas Smith Joins Second Season of HBO's BIG LITTLE LIES

According to Deadline, actor Douglas Smith is set to join the cast of HBO's BIG LITTLE LIES when it returns its second season. He will play a new character named Corey Brockfield, who works with Shailene Woodley's Jane. He joins season two with the previously announced Meryl Streep. Also returning for season two are Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon. Read more about it from Deadline here!

Big Little Lies is based in the tranquil seaside town of Monterey, California, where nothing is quite as it seems. The cast also includes Emmy®-nominee Laura Dern, Adam Scott, Zoë Kravitz, James Tupper and Jeffrey Nordling. Big Little Lies is written for television and created by David E. Kelley (seven-time Emmy® winner for "Picket Fences", "LA Law", "The Practice" and "Ally McBeal"; "Goliath") and directed by Jean-Marc Vallée ("Dallas Buyers Club"; "Wild"; "Demolition").
