According to published reports, A&E has ordered a new season of "The Glades".
A&E Network's series premiere of the new original scripted drama series, "The Glades" on Sunday, July 11th at 10PM garnered a record-breaking 3.6 million viewers, becoming the most-watched original drama series telecast in network history, according to Nielsen Fast Nationals.
Garnering critical praise prior to its launch, "The Glades" also delivered a record 1.4 million viewers in the key 25-54 demographic, as well as 1.2 million viewers 18-49. Combined with the encore airing, "The Glades" was watched by a total of 5.1 million viewers for the premiere night of the series. The premiere episode also grew by 38% from its lead-in.

"The fact that the series was able to break through in a crowded summer landscape against heavy competition is a testament to the quality of the show and the incredible talent and performance of the show's lead Matt Passmore."
"The Glades," a character driven police procedural set in the fictional town of Palm Glade, Florida, stars Australian actor Matt Passmore ("McLeod's Daughters," "Underbelly"), Kiele Sanchez ("Lost," "Samantha Who?"), Carlos Gomez ("Shark," "Sleeper Cell") and Michelle Hurd ("Law & Order SVU," "Gossip Girl").
New episodes of "The Glades" air every Sunday at 10PM ET/PT on A&E.
