On Tuesday, March 31st, "Access Hollywood" was honored with their second consecutive Daytime Emmy® nomination. The show is nominated for Outstanding Entertainment News Program, a new category that was added last year. In its 19th season in national syndication, "Access Hollywood" continues to dominate the ratings by delivering the top entertainment news stories in a fresh, sophisticated, yet fun-to-watch style that has been a success year after year.
"This nomination is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the entire 'Access Hollywood' staff," said the show's executive producer, Rob K. Silverstein. "The content the team produces on a daily basis is something that we are extremely proud of and it is gratifying to have this nomination as an acknowledgment."
"Access Hollywood" provides up-to-date breaking entertainment news through their trusted anchors Billy Bush, Shaun Robinson, Kit Hoover and Liz Hernandez, which is evident in "Access Hollywood's" social engagement and ratings. After the 2015 February sweeps, "Access Hollywood" was ranked as the #1 entertainment news magazine among women 25-54 in the top five local markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Dallas.
The social growth has been off the charts. Last year "Access Hollywood" grew Facebook likes by over 400% and saw over 100% growth on Instagram. Earlier this year, the show launched "Early Access," a daily segment on Facebook, making "Access Hollywood" the first and only entertainment news show to create a full circle experience with Facebook fans.
