Leading "NBC Nightly News" (7.737 million and 1.219 million, respectively) by 154,000 Total Viewers and 38,000 Adults 18-49, "World News Tonight's" marked its 3rd consecutive Total Viewer win, its longest in more than 6 1/2 years (since weeks of 9/8 - 9/22/08) and its 4th straight victory in Adults 18-49, its longest in more than 7 1/2 years (since weeks of 5/14 - 6/4/07).
For the 4th week in a row, "World News Tonight" saw a bigger Total Viewer audience versus the year-ago week (+2% - 7.891 million vs. 7.733 million on w/o 4/14/14). In fact, "World News Tonight" has posted year-to-year, Total Viewer gains in 9 of the last 10 weeks.
