"This Week" beat NBC's "Meet the Press" in Adults 25-54 during the quarter (+45,000 - 931,000 vs. 870,000), leading the NBC program for the 7th consecutive quarter. In addition, "The Week" posted its first back-to-back 1st quarter victories over "Meet the Press" in Adults 25-54 in 21 years - since 1Q93 and 1Q94.
In addition, "This Week" increased its 1st quarter Adults 25-54 advantage over "Meet the Press" by 136% (+45,000 vs. +19,000) from the year-ago quarter to score its largest 1st quarter news demo lead in 21 years - since 1Q94.
"This Week" improved on the previous quarter (2.850 million and 841,000, respectively for 4Q14) in both Total Viewers (+2%) and Adults 25-54 (+9%) to deliver its strongest quarter performance in 4 quarters - since 1Q14.
ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" averaged 2.610 Total Viewers and 817,000 Adults 25-54 on March 29, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "This Week" beat NBC's "Meet the Press" (695,000) by 122,000 Adults 25-54, leading the
NBC program for the 4th consecutive week and in 8 of the last 10.
"This Week" improved on its year-ago Sunday performance in Adults 25-54 (+4% - 817,000 vs. 783,000 on 3/30/14). In fact, "This Week" stood as the only public affairs to grow year to year compared to CBS' "Face the Nation" (-21%) and NBC's "Meet the Press" (-21%).
Season to date, "This Week" is outdelivering NBC's "Meet the Press" in Total Viewers (+5,000) and Adults 25-54 (+67,000) for the 2nd year in a row, seeing its largest news demo lead in 21 years - since the 1993-94 season, respectively.
