For the 1st Quarter 2014, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" averaged 3.175 million Total Viewers and 967,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. For the 3rd quarter in a row, "This Week" beat NBC's "Meet the Press," leading the NBC program during 1Q14 by its largest quarter margins in both Total Viewers (+92,000) and Adults 25-54 (+48,000) in over 16 years - since 3Q97.
During the 13 weeks of 1Q14, "This Week" ranked No. 1 5 times in Total Viewers and 6 times in Adults 25-54. This represents the most number of No. 1 finishes during a quarter in over 16 years in overall viewers and in over 19 years in Adults 25-54 - since 3Q97 and 4Q94, respectively, based on regular telecasts.
For the 3rd consecutive quarter, "This Week" improved on the previous quarter (2.918 million and 806,000, respectively for 4Q13) in both Total Viewers (+9%) and Adults 25-54 (+20%) to deliver its strongest quarter performance in 5 years - since 1Q09. In addition, "This Week" was also up the most from 4Q13 compared to CBS' "Face the Nation" (flat/+5%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (+8%/+14%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+1%/+4%).
"This Week" surged on the year-ago quarter (2.590 million and 744,000, respectively on 1Q13) in both Total Viewers (+23%) and Adults 25-54 (+30%). The
ABC public affairs program also turned in the largest increases from the year-earlier quarter compared to CBS' "Face the Nation" (+5%/+9%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (+1%/+3%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+9%/-3%).

ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" averaged 2.915 million Total Viewers and 799,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. "This Week" improved on its year-ago telecast (2.342 million and 770,000, respectively on 3/31/13) in both Total Viewers (+24%) and Adults 25-54 (+4%). In fact, "This Week" has delivered year-to-year gains for the last 9 weeks in both measures.
For the 6th consecutive telecast, "This Week" led NBC's "Meet the Press" in Total Viewers (136,000) to post its longest winning streak over the
NBC program in more than 16 years in Total Viewers - since 8/9 - 9/7/97.
Season to date, "This Week" is up in Total Viewers (+14%) and Adults 25-54 (+12%) versus its year-ago season averages. Growing in both measures for the 2nd year in a row, "This Week" is delivering its strongest performance in 5 years - since the 2008-09 season. In addition, "This Week" is up the most from the same point last season in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 versus CBS' "Face the Nation" (+3%/+4%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (-5%/-7%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+2%/-10%).
In addition, "This Week" leads NBC's "Meet the Press" this season in both Total Viewers (+83,000) and Adults 25-54 (+27,000), beating the
NBC program during a season for the first time in 17 years in overall viewers and in 20 years in the key adult news demo - since the 1996-97 and the 1993-94 seasons, respectively.
