ABC's THE VIEW averaged 3.038 million Total Viewers, 534,000 Women 25-54 and 410,000 Women 18-49 during the week of October 10, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "The View" outperformed CBS' "The Talk" (2.734 million, 481,000 and 339,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+304,000), Women 25-54 (+53,000) and Women 18-49 (+71,000), posting its largest margins over the CBS program this season.
"The View" scored double-digit, week-to-week increases (2.684 million, 480,000 and 356,000, respectively, for w/o 10/3/16) in Total Viewers (+13%), Women 25-54 (+11%) and Women 18-49 (+15%), hitting season highs across the board. In fact, "The View" drew its largest overall audience in nearly 20 months - since w/o 2/23/15.
"The View" also saw gains year to year (2.421 million, 500,000 and 374,000, respectively, on w/o 10/12/15) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+25%), Women 25-54 (+7%) and Women 18-49 (+10%).
On Monday (3.290 million on 10/10/16), "The View" delivered its most-watched telecast in more than 6 months - since 4/5/16.
Season to date, "The View" is posting gains across the board compared to the same point last season: Total Viewers (+16% - 2.832 million vs. 2.433 million), Women 25-54 (+2% - 519,000 vs. 510,000) and Women 18-49 (+1% - 391,000 vs. 386,000).
In addition, "The View" leads CBS' "The Talk" in Total Viewers (+5% - 2.832 million vs. 2.707 million), Women 25-54 (+3% - 519,000 vs. 502,000) and Women 18-49 (10% - 391,000 vs. 354,000).
