ABC's THE VIEW averaged 2.759 million Total Viewers, 494,000 Women 25-54 and 366,000 Women 18-49 during the week of October 3, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "The View" beat CBS' "The Talk" (2.614 million and 339,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+145,000) and Women 18-49 (+27,000), delivering its largest overall viewer lead over the CBS program this season.
For the 3rd week in a row, "The View" improved its Total Viewer performance both week to week (+2% - 2.759 million vs. 2.716 million on w/o 9/26/16) and year to year (+13% - 2.759 million vs. 2.449 million on w/o 10/5/15). In addition, "The View" drew its largest overall audience in more than 3 months - since w/o 6/27/16.
Season to date, "The View" is improving in Total Viewers (+14% - 2.767 million vs. 2.420 million) and Women 25-54 (+1% - 514,000 vs. 510,000) compared to the same point last season.
In addition, "The View" leads CBS' "The Talk" across the board: Total Viewers (+3% - 2.767 million vs. 2.681 million), Women 25-54 (+2% - 514,000 vs. 505,000) and Women 18-49 (+8% - 384,000 vs. 355,000).
