ABC's "The View" averaged 2.596 million Total Viewers, 414,000 Women 25-54 and 285,000 Women 18-49, during the week of May 21, 2018, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "The View" beat CBS' "The Talk" (2.252 million, 399,000 and 276,000, respectively) during the week in Total Viewers (+344,000), Women 25-54 (+15,000) and Women 18-49 (+9,000). "The View" increased its Total Viewer lead versus the "The Talk" both week to week (vs. +326,000 for w/o 5/14/18) and year to year (vs. +13,000 for w/o 5/22/17).
For the 7th week in a row, "The View" was up on the same week last year (w/o 5/22/17) in Total Viewers (+1% - 2.596 million vs. 2.558 million).
Season to date, "The View" is posting gains compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+1% - 2.901 million vs. 2.861 million), marking its most-watched season in 4 years - since the 2013-2014 season.
In addition, "The View" leads CBS' "The Talk" across the board, increasing its advantages from the same point last season in Total Viewers (352,000 vs. 173,000), Women 25-54 (86,000 vs. 58,000) and Women 18-49 (59,000 vs. 54,000). In fact, "The View" is posting its largest season leads over the CBS program in Total Viewers and Women 25-54 in 5 years - since the 2012-2013 season.
