ABC's "The Muppets" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 2.7 million and 0.9/3 in AD18-49): Despite facing the first hour of NBC's 2-hour "The Voice" premiere on Tuesday from 8:00-9:00 p.m., ABC's 1-hour freshman season finale of "The Muppets" built for the 2nd week in Total Viewers (+4% - 2.7 million vs. 2.6 million) and was up 13% in Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 vs. 0.8/3), earning 4-week highs on both measures - since 2/2/16.
"Marvel's Agent Carter" (9:00-10:00 p.m. - 2.4 million and 0.7/2 in AD18-49):From 9:00-10:00 p.m. against the second hour of "The Voice" premiere, ABC's sophomore season finale of "Marvel's Agent Carter" held even with last week's Fast Affiliate L+SD Adult 18-49 rating (0.7/2), which adjusted up 1-tenth in the National numbers.
TV Playback Gains for Season 2: On average this season, "Marvel's Agent Carter" jumps over its Adult 18-49 L+SD rating by 38% in Live + 3 Day (to a 1.1) and by 67% in Live + 7 Day (to a 1.5).
Projections Rationale: Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2015-16 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere). Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals). New Series: Based on similar series.
A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 48% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience
