ABC's THE BACHELORETTE Opens as Monday's Most-Watched Broadcast Show  Image

ABC Monday Prime Time (8:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.6 million and 1.1/4 in AD18-49):

Up against the opening game of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals during prime time on Memorial Day, ABC took the entertainment lead on Monday with Adults 18-49, more than doubling FOX with its 2-hour "Lucifer" special (+120% - 1.1/4 vs. 0.5/2). The Net straight out won the night across all key Women demos (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54).

"The Bachelorette" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 5.6 million and 1.4/5 in AD18-49):

Opposite stiff competition from 8:00-10:00 p.m. against the Stanley Cup, ABC's premiere of "The Bachelorette" finished as Monday's most-watched broadcast show overall (5.6 million) and qualified as the night's No. 1 non-sports show in Adults 18-49 (1.4/5). "The Bachelorette" held steady with its year-ago Memorial Day telecast in Total Viewers (5.6 million vs. 5.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.4/5 vs. 1.5/6) and was on par with last season's premiere coming out of the "Dancing" finale on the final Monday of the season (5.7 million and 1.8/6 on 5/22/17).

Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelorette" is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television. Mike Fleiss, Elan Gale, Bennett Graebner and Nicole Woods are the executive producers. "The Bachelorette" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 stereo surround sound. This episode carries a TV-PG, DL parental guideline.
