ABC ran a strong second on Monday in Adults 18-49 (1.8/6), closing the gap by 4-tenths week to week with Fox's Monday dramas ("The X-Files"/"Lucifer" = 2.3/7), outdelivering CBS by 38% (1.3/4) and beating NBC's original lineup by 80% (1.0/3). The Network won Monday in Adults 18-34 and key Women (W18-34/W18-49), while taking the broadcast lead with Teens 12-17. Please Note: Local news break-ins potentially occurred throughout the night for coverage of the Iowa caucus results.

"The Bachelor" was Monday's No. 1 TV series for the 5th week in a row in Adults 18-34 and key Women (W18-34/W18-49) and finished as the No. 2 show of the night in Adults 18-49, behind only "The X-Files."

"The Bachelor" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 7.4 million and 2.2/7 in AD18-49):
From 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's "The Bachelor" was the most watched TV show (7.4 million) in its 2-hour time period, while also leading with Adults 18-34 and across all key Women (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54).

"The Bachelor" held steady week to week in Adults 18-49 (2.2/7 vs. 2.3/7), coming within 1-tenth of the prior week's season high. In addition, the show tied season highs with Adults 18-34 and Women 18-49.

"The Bachelor Live" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.0 million and 1.0/3 in AD18-49):
At 10:00 p.m., ABC's "The Bachelor Live" continued to outdraw the final hour of NBC's 2-hour "The Biggest Loser" in Total Viewers (4.0 million vs. 3.2 million) and tied it with Adults 18-49 (1.0/3). "The Bachelor Live" took the broadcast lead in the hour with Adults 18-34 and key Women (W18-34/W18-49), holding the No. 1 position for the 5th week in a row with Women 18-34.

Projections Rationale:
Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2015-16 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 48% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
