Building on its lead-in by double digits at 10pm, ABC's special 20/20 with Diane Sawyer exploring the mystery of The Sound of Music ranked #1 in its hour with Adults 18-49 (1.4/5) and Adults 25-54 (2.0/6), tying CBS' original CSI: CYBER on both measures.
In Total Viewers and Adult 25-54, the special
20/20 delivered ABC's top numbers in the time period since its high-rated New Year's Eve coverage (on 12/31/14). In addition with 7.3 million viewers, it was the most-watched telecast for
20/20 this season.
The Untold Story of The Sound of Music," a Diane Sawyer Special, aired as a special edition of
20/20 on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18 (10-11pm, ET) on the
ABC Television Network.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the classic film "The Sound of Music," Diane Sawyer tours Salzburg, Austria, and the surrounding Alps, with its star Julie Andrews, revisiting many of the actual locations and reflecting back on the most successful movie musical of all time.
